Fans of science fiction, fantasy and comic-inspired movies received the bad news that the British actor Ray Stevenson passed away at the age of 58 in Italy. This information was confirmed by his publicist.
Stevenson brought the role of “Volstagg” to life in the different Thor movies, alongside Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston.
Also, he made “Gar Saxon” in the animated series “Rebels” and “The clone Wars”and then acted as “Baylan Skoll” in the still unreleased series Ahsokaof the universe Star Wars.
According to international media, the artist passed away on sunday may 21, a few days away from turning 59 years old. No details of his cause of death have been released so far.
Stevenson was born on May 25, 1964 in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. He started his acting career in 1988 with the movie “The Theory of Flight” and also participated in famous series such as “Dexter”, “Black Sails” and “Roma”.

Joining Ray Stevenson are actors Rosario Dawson, Lars Mikkelsen, Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Diana Lee Inosanto, and Ivanna Sakhno.
