Going to see a new anime can give a little respectespecially if we see that the series passes fifty or a hundred chapters (or a thousand, right ‘One Piece’).
If we are getting curious with ‘Black Clover‘ and Asta’s adventures, it’s the perfect time to catch up as the next anime season rolls around. For now we have four seasons that we can watch both on Crunchyroll and Netflix, and a movie is not coming our way.
But what is ‘Black Clover’ about? well it is action fantasy anime that tells us the story of Pole, a boy without powers who lives in a world where everyone can do magic. Despite this “problem”, Asta has always dreamed of becoming the next Wizard King, so he embarks on an adventure with the help of a strange magic grimoire.
Fortunately, with ‘Black Clover’ we don’t have as much filler as with other animeswith just a small percentage. As often happens, some chapters of the series are a mix between canon episodes that adapt the manga with some new elements, and others are complete rubbish that we can skip without problem. There are also some episodes that are canon within the anime that we shouldn’t skip, because even if they don’t adapt the manga, they are necessary for the story because they expand several plots.
As this mixture can be a bit messy, In this list we specifically point out the completely filler chapters of ‘Black Clover’ that you can skip without fear to lighten the pace a little.

And the movie?
This year ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’, the first anime film of the franchise, is released. It is still not very clear if it will be a canon film necessary for the story or just a separate adventure that we can see at any time.
It is known that the manga creator Yuki Tabata has worked on the development of the film, so perhaps it could be canon within the anime. In any case, ‘Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King’ opens on June 16 and there is not much left to clear us of doubts.
