Getting a job is not easy, either because the salaries are low, there are no decent benefits or because the companies have quite “peculiar” requirements, such as those requested by a Mexican ice cream parlor that asked its candidates not to exceed 25 years of age and own home.
As expected, the vacancy went viral and not precisely because the position was attractive, but because of the strange requirement of having their own home, something that currently not even millennials over the age of 30 have managed to achieve.
The vacancy asked to be between 19 and 25 years of age, have availability to cover a schedule from Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 20:00, a helpful attitude, desire to work and OWN HOUSE.
Users on social networks were quick to comment that asking for their own house to fill a vacancy in an ice cream stand was something quite unreal and they even dismissed the job opportunity as a bad joke, since no one 19 years old and without work experience could have something like that. , unless it is by inheritance from the grandmother or some situation like that.
Due to the comments, the ice cream parlor was forced to remove the job opening from their website and instead shared a clarification explaining why they were asking for the candidate to own their own home.
The vacancy indicated that a requirement to obtain the job was to have one’s own home, meaning verifiable stable housing. Unfortunately, a few months ago we suffered a large theft of our furniture by a former employee and it was impossible to trace him due to his constant changes of address.
Despite the explanation, the ice cream parlor has not stopped receiving comments. Now they have been suggested to hire a community manager to take care of their social networks and they have asked them for a 2×1 ice cream promotion for all those from 19 to 25 years old who still do not have their own home.
