During the last years, especially after the success of the movies and series referring to adaptations of Marvel and DC comics, the constructions “Multiverse” and “Extended Universe” became fashionable to decipher different series and movies. In a few words, it has to do with the concept that different productions, with their directors in common, are closely related and connected to each other, even though, a priori, they may not seem or appear to be different. But it is not something new and, in fact, Chespirito and “The guy from 8” they seem to have discovered and applied it almost 50 years ago.
And it is that different theories elaborated by the fans – who are the ones who seek to give them credits and reinforce them – show that in the different Chespirito programs clues were given that all the characters were connected to each other. Thus, for example, Mr. Barriga appears in an episode of “Los Chifladitos” confessing that he is also a lawyer. Or, for example, that they would show that a character in the sketch “Los Caquitos” is, in fact, the uncle of Don Ramón (from “The guy from 8”).
Who is the uncle of Don Ramón, from whom “Monchito” inherits a fortune in “El Chavo del 8”
Among so many unforgettable episodes of “The guy from 8”, one of them is the one in which Don Ramón receives an inheritance from an uncle who has just passed away. And although in the episodes of the popular Mexican children’s series, no information is ever shown or given about who this famous uncle is, the truth is that the character played by Ramón Valdés receives clothing that is extremely large and baggy on him.
This allows us to deduce, then, that Don Ramón’s uncle was a robust person and the contrast between Don Ramón’s extremely thinness gives life to the cuteness and fun of the scene. Especially since La Chilindrina’s father decides to dress in those clothes during the episode of “The guy from 8”and you must hold on well so that they do not fall off.
Well, in this context of the “Multiverse” that Chespirito would have subtly introduced in his different programs, the theory -and the discovery- of the fans of “The guy from 8” It has to do with the fact that “El Botija” (one of the two thieves who starred in the “Los Caquitos” program) would actually be Don Ramón’s famous uncle. And the difference in context is based on the fact that the interpreter of “El Botija” was Édgar Vivar, who also gave life to Señor Barriga in The kid.
