Last year the miniseries of Netflix “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story”produced by ryan murphybecame a worldwide success, generating good reviews (the protagonist, Evan Petershe won golden globe for Best Actor in a Limited Series). Now the second season of that project is being prepared, which will be entitled “Monsters” and which will expose the lives of the brothers Erik and Lyle Menéndez.
The above was revealed with the publication of a video in Youtube announcing the series and in which the phone call made by the Menéndez family on August 20, 1989 is heard, reporting that “someone” had murdered their parents, when in fact they had committed the crime (both were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1996, without the possibility of parole). Murphy already works together with his usual collaborator Ian Brennan in the script for the show, which will premiere in 2024 and will reportedly feature documentary-style interviews featuring Erik and Lyle (now 52 and 55, respectively).
In recent days, the case of the Menéndez brothers has been publicly discussed again, because the former singer Roy Roselló (who was a member of the boy band Slight) made statements in which he accused Jose Menendez -father of the criminals- of having sexually abused him in the 80s, when the now deceased was an executive of the company RCA Records.
