For several months the rock group u2 announced his Las Vegas residency, and now they turned to his account instagram to post a video announcing the first dates of their concert series: September 29 and 30, October 5, 7 and 8.
With this series of presentations (to which more dates will be added) the Irish band will inaugurate Sphere, an auditorium with a capacity of 17,600 people and whose construction began five years ago. At the concerts they will perform the entire 1991 album Achtung Baby, in addition to many of his classic songs. Always at the forefront of technology the group will have the largest high-resolution LED screen to date on stagein addition to 164,000 speakers and vibrating seats.
Drummer Larry Mullen Jr. will not be part of this residency as he is slowly recovering from spinal surgery.; his place will be taken by bram van denberg. the guitarist The Edge has been in charge of giving the interviews to announce the preparations, and told rolling stones that they will analyze the result in the public to decide if they extend the concert season: “We are going to take it one step at a time and see how everything works. We do not rule out doing more shows. Right now we are presenting five programs initially. We’ll see how that goes.”
