More than a decade ago —specifically around the year 2010— James Cameron decided to make official his intention to shoot several sequels to ‘Avatar’ with which to expand the vibrant universe he built in a distant 2009. At that time, deluded us, we expected to see its sequel, at the latest, in 2013 or 2014, but, after an endless wait, ‘Avatar: The sense of water’ is about to land in our theaters.

To warm up its premiere, set at the December 16the people of 20th Century Studios have released a first trailer for the feature film that, in its brevity, makes it clear that the master Cameron will once again serve us on a silver platter a show at the forefront of the industry built on the latest technology and visual effects of the highest level.
In my case, I had the pleasure of enjoying the preview at the press screening of ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’, where it was shown in 3D several times in a row and, with each screening, I was able to fall in love with several new details that exploit three-dimensionality like never before. Flares that “come out” of the screen, first terms and games of blurring using volumes, particles invading the stalls… a wonderful madness.
A plot level‘Avatar: The sense of water’, at the moment it only offers us the following —and concise— log line:
“Jake Sully lives with his new family on the planet Pandora. When an ancient threat returns to finish what he started, Jake must work with Neytiri and the army of the Nav’vi race to protect his planet.”
As I was saying, from December 16 we will be able to enjoy —if possible in the movie theater with the largest and best equipped screen nearby— ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’, whose technical invoice points to an even bigger revolution than the one we witnessed in 2009 with the original tape. title, by the way, will be re-released in theaters September 23 with remastered sound.
