The producer of the James Bond movies has revealed that the next installment will reinvent the famous agent 007.
As we know, the time of Daniel Craig What james-bond ended up with no time to die (2021), so now it’s time to restart it with a new actor, but it also intends to reinvent it. So the new version may be very different from what we are used to.
To begin with, the producer Barbara Broccoli gives bad news, since we will have to wait a long time to see james-bond at the cinema. Also, they want to give the character a twist. These are his words in a recent interview with dead line:
“It’s a reinvention of Bond. It will also be at least two years before the next movie starts filming. For now, no one is on the list to replace Daniel Craig. We’re thinking about where to go with the character, we’re talking about that. There’s no script and we can’t think of one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next movie because it’s really a reimagining of James Bond. We are reinventing who he is and that takes time.
It was recently revealed that Idris Elbe I was going to sign to be the new james-bond, as the producers intended him to be the villain. But after doing some market research, they realized that it was one of the most popular options among fans.
own Barbara Broccoli indicated in early 2022 that it was considering Idris Elbe for the position. “Well, we know Idris, we’re friends with him, and he’s a terrific actor. He’s been part of the conversation, but it’s always hard to have a conversation when you have someone in the seat.”
The actor has always been interested: “If someone told me do you want to play James Bond? He would tell her: Yes! That is fascinating to me. But it’s not something that I’ve expressed, like: Yes, I want to be the Black James Bond. You just get discouraged when you make people, from a generational point of view, say: It can’t be. And it really happens to be the color of my skin… And then if I get it and it doesn’t work, or it works… Is it because of the color of my skin? That’s a difficult position to put myself in when it’s not necessary.”
