Netflix has revealed a new full length trailer for his next supernatural detective series ‘The Lockwood Agency.’, based on the best-selling books by Jonathan Stroud, ‘Lockwood & Co.’ The first season, produced by the director of ‘Attack the Block’, will have 8 episodes of 60 minutes and will be released January 27, 2023 on Netflix, Worldwide. The series had already had a preview that you have below.
“Why watch it, if it is not going to continue”
The series will follow Lucy Carlyle, a young psychic investigator for London’s smallest psychic detective agency Lockwood & Co., the new trailer sees more action to the beat of The Clash’s ‘London Calling’ and, in general, is presented as a kind of “juvenile Ghostbusters” with good production and better aspect than most horror proposals for kids presented by the platform. And this has created bittersweet reactions.
The serious mistake of canceling the series ‘1899’ is beginning to have consequences on social networks, which may not mean anything for the purposes of subscriptions or viewing hours, but they are giving an image of unusual mistrust on television. Seldom has the “preventive fear” of cancellation been seen so unanimously like those that can be seen in the reactions to the trailer of the official Netflix accounts. In the quoted tweets you can see phrases like “It is the typical series that I would see if I did not know that in two months it will be canceled“.
This is the typical series that I would see if I didn’t know that it would be canceled in two months. 😕 https://t.co/W4GHhCS9wx

It looks good, I’m sure they’ll cancel it

But the important thing, is it already canceled or not?

The appearance of the trailer leaves hundreds of comments of this style and reproaches arise from other cancellations, such as that of ‘The Warrior Nun’, with comments such as “So I’m going to see it if you’re going to do the same thing to me as with The War Nun (Warrior Nun)”. Something that could be explained by being an account from Spain, but on Netflix Latin America we also see similar reactions with comments like “Another series that I will surely like and that they are going to cancel FIXED”. But the thing does not end there, and the United Kingdom and Ireland account has been filled with memes and similar comments.
I think you’ll need it at 27 Feb. pic.twitter.com/s7uG96CDhu

Caution, may be announced as not renewed immediately after the season drops.
Sorry, Netflix, you lost my trust on 1899.

Added to the most talked about cancellations are the recent non-renewals of ‘The Midnight Club’, ‘Blockbuster’, ‘Destination: The Winx Saga’, ‘The First Death’ or ‘Space Force’. The explanation still lacks a single key factor, but one of them is the so-called completion ratewhich explains this article by our colleague John Tones, which comes to be the percentage of audience that completes the series and that explains why a series can be number one and be cancelled, that is, the number of people that a series has really managed to hook. And all that glitters is not gold.
