Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 was presented at Comic Con, with Adam Warlock and High Evolutionary and other sad news.
During the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic Con, James Gunn said that “There are stories that come to an end”, thereby reaffirming that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, which will introduce Adam Warlock and the High Evolutionary, will be the end of the saga.
“This is the end of that story. I am sorry. Some stories have an ending. It does not mean that everyone dies” was the phrase used by the filmmaker to make the audience sad, and then gave way to a trailer that only those attending the event could see.
As Deadeline described it: “The trailer opens with the Guardians’ ship being invaded by the Ravagers, led by Gomora. Star Lord tries to get Gomora back, but soon realizes that she has no recollection of them working together. Adam Warlock makes an appearance as him, played by Will Poulter, and the trailer ends with a teaser from the past of Rocket, the saddest creature in the universe. Gunn’s color spectrum motif is in full effect with all of them wearing various astronaut suits. It seems that they also land on Earth.”
In addition to that first look at Adam Warlock, Chukwudi Iwuji’s High Evolutionary was also introduced in the trailer, who said already at the panel: “I’m delighted to be here. Thanks for inspiring me for how vomitive you all are. I’m looking forward to dissecting them all and seeing what I can learn.
Cast members Chis Pratt, Karen Gillan, Will Poulter, Maria Balakova (as Cosmo Space Dog), and Pom Klementieff were in attendance.
