Sony will take Marvel fans back to the Spider-Verse this summer with the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning Spider-Man: A New Universe. Miles Morales returns to the big screen with ‘Spider-Man: crossing the multiverse’, perhaps one of the most anticipated comic book movie sequels of all time, and now Sony Pictures Animation has released a new trailer, and beware, the international version is different.

Miles Morales returns for a new chapter in the Oscar-winning saga of Spider-Verse. After meeting Gwen Stacy again, Spider-Man’s entire friendly Brooklyn neighborhood is catapulted across the Multiverse where he will meet a team of multiple Spiderman tasked with protecting his own existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself at odds with the rest of the team. spiders and he must redefine what it means to be a hero in order to save those he loves most.
The film will have the return of the stars SHameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, and Jake Johnson, who repeat their roles from the previous one. Oscar Isaac will reprise the role of Spider-Man 2099, having first appeared in the post-credits scene of ‘A New Universe’. Issa Rae leads the impressive cast of newcomers, taking on the role of Spider-Woman. to her they join Karan Soni, Jason Schwartzman, Daniel Kaluuya, Shea Whigham, and Jorma Taccone.

‘Across the Multiverse’ is directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers and Justin K. Thompsonfrom a script written by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and Dave Callaham. In addition to a second Spider-Verse movie, there’s also a short film on the way, brought to life through a program at Sony called LENS (Leading and Empowering New Storytellers). The new short is called ‘The Spider Within’.
