There are recipes so easy to make that the difficult thing is to do it wrong. We have a clear example with this proposal today: following a few simple steps, we will achieve a delicious dessert that anyone can do at home (and in just over 30 minutes). We are talking about the yogurt cake recipe, a basic classic to start in the world of pastries.
With the measure of a yogurt container as the main measure, nothing can go wrong. Also, remembering the proportions is very simple because oil, sugar and flour, -ordered alphabetically- carry the proportion of 1, 2 and 3, that is, one measure of oil, two of sugar and three of flour. With these simple ingredients we will have everything we need to make the most delicious cake that always turns out well.
When we talk about ease, we mean that this recipe can be made by anyone (regardless of age). The most important are the measures of “1, 2, and 3” applying them to the ingredients arranged alphabetically. For this reason, we will put the contents of a glass of yogurt together with the three eggs, a measure of sunflower oil and two measures of sugar in a bowl. Once we have the mixture, we beat well.
On another side we are going to mix the flour (a total of 3 measures of the yogurt cup) together with the yeast and we will stir so that the mixture is distributed evenly. Thanks to some rods, we will gradually incorporate the flour into the bowl with the rest of the ingredients. In this way, a dough will be created while we beat and add more flour -as it is incorporated-. If we want the cake to have citrus touches, it is time to add the zest of a lemon.
Previously, we will preheat the oven to 180ºC for about ten minutes and butter the mold for the cake. Once this step is ready, we will pour the dough into our mold and let it bake without opening the oven door for (approximately) about 35 minutes. It is important not to open the oven beforehand to prevent the temperature inside the oven from dropping and the cake from falling out.
After about 30 minutes, we will open quickly to verify the cooking point (inserting a wooden skewer into the dough to check if it comes out clean or dirty). If it comes out clean, the cake is ready; If, on the contrary, it comes out dirty, we will wait another five minutes and then we will turn off the oven.

With what to accompany the easy yogurt cake
The recipe for this yogurt cake is delicious without the need to accompany it with anything else, however, we can always elevate the result to emulate a dessert of those that are bought in a pastry shop. Therefore, we can accompany it with a good jam or fill it with pastry cream (or whipped cream if preferred). In addition, it also goes very well with a glass of cold milk, a latte or iced tea.
