Since 1988 The Simpsons have dominated the small screen and the crazy adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie have become a benchmark for humor and some of its episodes have become prophetic due to a series of “predictions” that were have given.

It is not known if it is coincidence or destiny. But some passages of these chapters have become an eternal spoiler alert for situations that have coincided as reported by the writers of the series.
Let’s consult some of the predictions that have been presented throughout the 34 seasons that have happened on The Simpsons
Did you know anything about 9/11?
One of the most controversial episodes occurred in 1997. During the ninth season, when Homer has to go by car to New York, a city that the Simpson patriarch hates.
To accompany Homer to his car, Lisa shows a newspaper ad promoting bus trips to New York for 9 dollars, and in the background are the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, emulating 11. We all know what happened. on September 11, 2001.
Tiger attack in Las Vegas
In the episode Prosperous Springfield or the Gambling Problem (1995), a magic show with two magicians is presented inside Mr. Burns’ casino, accompanied by a tiger that attacks its tamers.
In October 2003, a Bengal Tiger attacked Roy, from the illusionist duo Sigfried & Roy, who were offering a show in front of 1,500 people in Las Vegas.
An Asian Pandemic
In the episode Chain Marge, the people of Springfield come down with the flu that comes from various packages coming from Japan.
This could be a “prediction” about two epidemics that the world has suffered in the last fifteen years, the first with the cases of Influenza AH1N1, which hit several countries in 2009, and the recent epidemic caused by COVID-19.
Jorgito and the Ebola Virus
In the episode Lisa’s Sax, Homer remembers what happened before he bought Lisa’s saxophone, and among these events are Bart’s first days of school, who begins to get discouraged, so Marge proposes to read a book. Curious George, which deals with the Ebola virus.

Another of Simpson’s “predictions” that occurred in that episode was the appearance of smartwatches, which since the second decade of the 21st century have become a reality.

This coincidence is qualified as sad by Al Jean, m producer of the series. Homer joins the Navy and in the war games, he guides a submarine into Russian waters, sparking an international conflict with the reappearance of the Soviet Union and the communist bloc of Eastern Europe.
In February 2022, Russia began a series of military maneuvers on Ukrainian territory, which has led to an armed conflict that Vladimir Putin’s government does not intend to abandon until Ukraine recognizes the independence of Crimea, a territory sought by the Russians.
Disney buys Fox
Another of the most accurate predictions of The Simpsons is presented in the fifth episode “When you long for a star”, a chapter where Homer befriends Kim Bassinger and Alec Baldwin, but things get out of control and everything ends up in court.
A month after the trial, the filmmaker Ron Howard appears at the offices of 20th Century Fox to present a script inspired by the events, and on the facade it read “A division of Disney”, which was a mere joke. In 2018 The Walt Disney Company acquired the assets of 20th Century Fox.
The Monorail (or Line 12 of the Metro)
In the episode Marge vs. the Monorail, Marge visits one of the cities that built the transportation system, which was built saving in all aspects, which leaves this train useless.
Unfortunately for the inhabitants of Mexico City this is a coincidence with the accident that occurred in May 2020. When a section of Line 12 of the subway collapsed, causing the death of 26 users
trump president
Another of the most terrifying predictions of The Simpsons occurred in the episode Bart to the Future, which we saw in season 11 (year 2000), where Bart has different visions of a possible future, where Lisa is elected president of the United States.
16 years later, Donald Trump managed to win the elections to become the 45th President of the United States of America.

Homer believes that he is the son of a millionaire adventurer named Mason Fairbanks, with whom he embarks on a submarine expedition. Homer is stuck and oxygen begins to run out.
This is the most recent prediction, with the case of the Titan Submarine. Which imploded, causing the death of its crew.
