A terrifying and dramatic film
The film in question is a perfect combination between graphic and psychological horror. Its atmosphere reminds us of that type of horror that great classics of the genre gave us as The Exorcist, Repulsion, Rosemary’s Baby either The prophecy.
The end of hereditary It is one of the most shocking and terrifying in recent years. We do not exaggerate. The movie unsettles you and makes you feel uncomfortable. It is an extensive allegory of mental illness, fear of loneliness, loss, and the collapse of a family.
Ari Aster says that when he pitched the project to the studios, he didn’t even try to sell it as a horror movie, but as a dark family drama that “descends until it becomes a nightmare”, as he himself put it.
