It’s been about four months since we got our first look at ‘Transformers. The awakening of the beasts’ in a juicy teaser that, personally, left a much better taste in my mouth than expected. Now, the people of Paramount Pictures have decided to launch a first trailer in conditions that confirms the good feelings and that puts all the meat on the spit.
How are the machines?
‘The Awakening of the Beasts’ comes five years after the fantastic spin-off dedicated to ‘Bumblebee’ and led by Travis Knight and six years after Michael Bay closed his spectacular pentalogy with ‘The Last Knight’ in 2017. A timing perfect to serve on a tray prequel set in the 90s with a reboot spirit for the franchise.
After Bay and Knight, the new person in charge of leading the adventures of Autobots, Decepticons and now also Maximals has been Steven Caple Jr.; responsible for the remarkable ‘Creed II’ and who debuted in 2016 with the no less interesting feature film ‘The Land’. The script, for its part, is in charge of James Vanderbilt —’The Amazing Spider-Man’— and Joby Harold —’Army of the Dead’—.
On June 9th we will be able to get our hands on this new translation of Hasbro’s iconic toys to the big screen. In the meantime, I leave you with the official synopsis of the feature film
“Bringing on the action and spectacle that have captivated moviegoers around the world, ‘Transformers: Rise of the Beasts’ will take audiences on a 1990s-themed adventure around the world with the Autobots and introduce an all-out faction. new Transformers, the Maximals, who will join them as allies in the ongoing battle for Earth.”
