While today we witness the brand new premiere of the long-awaited ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ on Disney+, and after receiving the first trailer for the spin-off of the underrated ‘Rogue One’ entitled ‘Andor’, the wheel of ‘Star Wars’ refuses to stop spinning and brings us information about ‘Skeleton Crew’; the new galactic series that Jon Watts is preparing and that will once again exploit eighties nostalgia in the purest ‘Goonies’ style.
Children, children, future, future…
During the Star Wars Celebration, the director of the Spider-Man trilogy starring Tom Holland has given new details about the television production, labeled as “an initiatory 1980s adventure in space”. In addition, it has been dropped that its filming will start soon, that its premiere is scheduled for 2023and that he will have in his cast a Jude Law more than accustomed to franchises after giving life to Dumbledore in ‘Fantastic Animals’.
During the event, Watts He spoke this way about the project:
“This is a series we’ve been working on for a long time. It’s the story of 10-year-olds from a tiny planet who get lost in the Star Wars galaxy. It’s the story of their coming home. It stars four kids, but it’s not just for kids.
‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ will be produced by Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni and Christopher Ford, and joins the endless list of series set in the George Lucas universe to come. A selection that, in addition to the aforementioned ‘Andor’, includes ‘Asohka’, ‘Rangers of the New Republic’, ‘Lando’, ‘The Acolyte’, ‘A Droid Story’ and the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’which will arrive in February 2023. Will the public become saturated at some point until they lose interest?
