A few weeks ago the director Quentin Tarantino caused controversy by criticizing Marvel Studios films, arguing that the public will not see the actors involved, but to the characters they interpret. Now Robert Downey Jr.who had a career resurgence starting in 2008 for her role as “Hombre de Hierro” in several tapes based on comics, he gave his opinion about it.
In a recent interview with Deadline Downey Jr. said that he himself has contributed to the characters competing with the personalities of the actors, but that ultimately the Marvel Universe is a priority in the industry: “It is a double-edged sword … an intellectual property is as good as the human talent you have to represent it, and you can have great intellectual property, even if it comes from an author or a national treasure as a writer and director, and if you don’t have the right kind of artist playing that role, you’ll never know how good it could have been.”
The 57-year-old actor added that creating a conflict over it makes no sense: “It’s a waste of time to be at war with ourselves…let’s get over it. We are all a community. There is enough space for everythingand thank God for “Top Gun: Maverick” Y “Avatar: The way of water”. That’s all I have to say. We need big things to make room for movies like Armageddon time.
