The Court of First Instance of San Juan, Puerto Rico, filed the restraining order against Ricky Martin, whom his nephew Dennis Yadiel Sánchez had sued.
Helga García, representative of the singer, confirmed the court’s decision and said that a press conference is planned to give more details on the subject.
On July 1, Ricky Martin was notified of a protection order against him, which, based on Law 54, protects victims of domestic violence.
Said order was filed by his nephew Dennis Yadiel Sánchez, 21, who claimed to have had a romantic relationship with him for seven months and that after the breakup, he would receive multiple intimidations and harassment from him.
At the time, Martin assured that the statements against him were “totally false” and that he would face the judicial process “with the responsibility” that characterizes him.
Martin remained silent but working together with his lawyers: Joaquín Monserrate Matienzo, Carmelo Dávila and Harry Mansanet, who, based on the law, managed to have the case filed by the Court of Puerto Rico today, July 21, putting an end to the accusations against the singer.
The court stated that “there is nothing criminal” against Martin and, for this reason, Sánchez decided to withdraw the lawsuit. Before the act, the artist’s lawyers clarified that Sánchez was never pressured to withdraw the accusation.
The accuser confirmed to the court that this decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure. This was never anything more than a troubled individual making false accusations with absolutely nothing to back them up.

In turn, Martin shared a statement on Twitter and Instagram, showing the judicial resolution of his case, thus proving his innocence and his word. This publication was well received by its fanswho have sent him multiple messages and support and love.
On the other hand, Sánchez has opted for silence, refusing to answer questions from the press.
