After a 2022 marked by a slap in the face, the 95th edition of the Oscars fulfilled its mission of being a night without shocks or many surprises. Perhaps the most iconic and remarkable moment was precisely Lady Gaga’s performance on the stage of the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, where he performed the theme ‘Hold my hand’ for which she was nominated for Best Original Song.
After seeing the interpreter on the carpet red champagne color stiffer than a Barbie doll, surprised Lady Gaga’s change of record by appearing with a clean face, a basic black t-shirt, ripped jeans at the knees and converse, just combed with a simple braid that is far from the outlandish looks to which the singer of ‘Bad Romance’ has accustomed us.

His voice was the only complement that left us all speechless. Despite not having managed to win the Oscar for which she was nominated, Germanotta left her throat on stage with the song that puts soundtrack to the movie ‘Top Gun: Maverick’, whose protagonist -Tom Cruise- was one of the great absentees of the night.

“I wrote this song together with Bloodpop and it’s a very personal topic for me,” reflected Lady Gaga about the topic that wanted to dedicate to Tony Scottbrother of Ridley Scott and director of the first ‘Top Gun’ film who passed away 10 years ago.

‘Hold my hand’ has become a hymn as a result of this interpretation, since part of the lyrics have been picked up by numerous spectators who were left shocked after this moment: “We all need a hero at some point and there are heroes surrounding us but you will also discover that you can be your own heroes, even if you feel broken inside”, Lady Gaga sang, putting her heart out to all the Hollywood faces present.
