A pair of creative sisters decided it was time to turn their house into a fancy restaurant to celebrate their parents’ 34th wedding anniversary, as the couple didn’t want to dine out.
The girls did not want the date to go unnoticed, so if their parents did not want to go to a five-star restaurant to have their special night, then they would make that restaurant come to them.
Sisters Janie Baillie and Jean Craig from Nova Scotia, Canada, were determined to give their parents an unforgettable night celebrating their anniversary. Therefore, they made all the necessary arrangements to bring them a dinner gourmet to the comfort of your home. In interview for Newsweek, Janie told part of this story.
My dad is a lobsterman and had been in the water all day, so they thought they would have a night to celebrate their anniversary later.
Janie says they planned everything very carefully. With great patience, they put together the menu, all the day before. Dinner included an entree of roasted beetroot and goat cheese salad, followed by an appetizer of asparagus wrapped in prosciutto. Of course, the main course included his father’s catch, as they made lobster ravioli, ending with a delicious apple dessert.
My parents knew we were cooking dinner for them, but they had no idea how far we’d gone. My family is very close and we are all pretty funny and crazy hence the effort we put into everything and the silly costume my sister wore. My parents are so deserving and we had so much fun preparing everything for them! They said it was their best anniversary.
Of course, the girls left evidence on video, which they shared on the TikTok account @user2389708162077, where the celebration that their parents had quickly went viral, because all internet users thought it was a beautiful detail.
