Kirstie Alley, actress remembered for the productions look who’s talking Y Cheersdied Monday at the age of 71 after a battle with cancer, according to a statement issued by his family.
The news was confirmed by his childrenTrue and Lillie Parker: “We are saddened to report that our incredible, brave and loving mother has left after a battle with cancer: it had recently been discovered,” they reported in a statement.
As detailed, the actress died surrounded by her loved ones in a fight “with great strength, leaving us with the certainty of her endless joy of living and of any adventure that awaits her.”
The actress’s family thanked the health personnel who cared for her during the time she was ill.
“As iconic as she was on screen, she was an even more incredible mother and grandmother. We are grateful to the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Moffitt Cancer Center for her care. The enthusiasm and passion for life of our mother, her children , grandchildren and her many animals, not to mention her undying joy of creating, was unmatched and left us all inspired to live life to the fullest as she did. We thank you for your love and prayers, and ask that you respect our privacy in this difficult time,” they added.
John Travolta and other celebrities say goodbye
After breaking the news, the actor John Travolta, with whom he had a great friendship in life, shared his condolences on his social networks. Through Instagram, the famous actor and singer mourned the death of whoever was his set partner in look who’s talking.
“Kirstie was one of the most special relationships I’ve ever had. I love you, Kirstie. I’m sure we’ll meet again,” he wrote.
