‘El Hormiguero’ started the week with Leo Harlem on the set. The guest presented ‘As God commands’his new comedy that has been in the drawer for more than two years and that he faced the challenge of riding a scooter.
“We recorded in the middle of a pandemic”
Leo Harlem visited ‘El Hormiguero’ last night to talk about ‘Como Dios manda’, the directorial debut of Paz Jiménez and with a script by Marta Sánchez (creator of the ‘Supernormal’ series). this comedy opens on June 2 and it’s about a clumsy official who will have to modernize.
Harlem explained that the film has been recorded for two years and that he did a scene in which he had to ride a scooter without doubles:
We recorded two years ago, in the midst of a pandemic, it was a very big job for the team due to the risk factor, but in the end we pushed forward. In Seville and in Malaga it has been very well received, I think they will love it.
(That scene) is on a level with ‘The Fast & The Furious’. They put a double on me because they were afraid that I would fall. But when I saw the scooter, I jumped on it. They warned me because it seems that I was picking up a lot of speed, so I had to do it more moderately. But he enjoyed himself, he went alone.
In turn, he commented on his “trauma” with the anise because, when he tries to ask for a little to be added to his coffee, it seems an impossible task: “It is easier to find drugs than anise. You ask for a shot of anise and there is none, it has disappeared. “He also promised that, although he has” a restraining order with technology, “he will remedy it with his Instagram account.
