Life is the journey. Love is the reward. We are pleased to announce that (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio) is the BAFTA winner in the Animated Film category. Congratulations to the entire team on this achievement!
Del Toro thanked all those who supported his work and reminded the world that animation is not just for children, because great and emotional stories can be told through it.
Thank you so much. I’d like to thank Netflix and the Academy for allowing us to participate in categories that we normally don’t. I would like to add that I am very grateful to the Baftas for allowing us to be here, because animation is not something for children. It is an art medium, for everyone. You must be in this conversation.
