Marvel Studios has surprised by choosing renowned actors for important roles, such as Josh Brolin as Thanos, Russell Crowe as Zeus or Charlize Theron, who will play Clea in the third part of Doctor Strange.
According to the Giant Freakin Robot site, Marvel Studios is already exploring the possibility of incorporating Tom Hanks into its ranks, and the role offered to the Oscar winner is neither more nor less than that of Doctor Doom.
As SMASH reported to you at the time, Victor Von Doom would not be the first Fantastic Four villain in his first film, but his appearance would take place in the post-credit scenes, and there is no doubt that Doom is one of the main villains of Avengers: Secret Wars, a feature film that will close the sixth phase of the MCU, as well as The Multiverse Saga.
Doom, one of the great villains of Marvel
Victor Von Doom, Doctor Doom’s real name, made his debut in Fantastic Four #5 (July, 1962). Originally from Latveria, Doom is a genius in physics, robotics, cybernetics, genetics, weapons technology, biochemistry, and time travel.
The ruler of Latveria is also an autodidact in the mystical arts. Doom is a natural leader, a brilliant tactician, and a cunning impostor.
Doom has appeared three times on the big screen, in 2005 and 2007 he was played by Julian McMahon, while in 2015, Toby Kebbell was the most recent in charge of embodying him.
Directed by Matt Shakman, Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four will hit theaters on February 14, 2025.
