There is less to go until the long-awaited Eurovision gala arrives on May 14. The festival has had to face the loss of part of its main stage (baptized as “The Sun Within” by its artist, Francesca Montinaro), which has suffered irreparable technical problems (or at least, not in time for next Saturday) and that has meant for many of the representatives of the different countries the modification of their choreographies in less than a week.
changes in choreography
For her part, the representative of Spain, Chanel Terreroshowed in recent rehearsals several changes to his song, ‘SloMo’, which they differ quite a bit from their version presented at the Benidorm Fest. Among the modifications of this new version is the incorporation of trumpets (to highlight the Cuban and Spanish origins of the singer) and Latin dance steps in the final part of the song.
To this must be added the possibilities of the new scenario: new lighting and different camera movementswhich highlight the strength of the song and make the effect even more spectacular slow motion the one the song talks about.
Chanel is enthusiastic about the changes: “We are very happy but we will not stop working and perfecting to make the best performance on May 14.” She has also commented that “There is no water on stage because it is forbidden. I would love to dance in ‘Flashdance’ mode but it is not possible. But there is rain”.
Bad news?
What is not so convincing is the order in which it will finally appear at the Eurovision gala. At the moment of taking the paper from the urn that she randomly decides when each participant comes out, Chanel got the one from “First half” to which he commented: “I don’t like this… It’s a dream. It hasn’t happened.”
This has to do with one of the most widespread myths about the program, according to which the winners are usually those who act in the second half of the gala. “I always first, never secondary” she joked quoting her own song.
It is also known that the dress that Chanel will wear at the final gala is a creation of the famous designer Palomo Spain who has defined the process of creating this wardrobe as “intense and against the clock” and whose main idea is “an empowered woman with great strength”. “I’ve been inspired by her and the strength that she represents of her,” he adds.
Eurovision, which has a total of 637,984.18 euros of Spanish capital in its budget, will hold its final gala on May 14 in Turin (Italy) and will be broadcast by La 1 in real time.
