The ‘Big Boss’ of urban music, Daddy Yankee, announced the dates of ‘La Meta’ a couple of days ago, their farewell concerts from the stages that will be carried out in Puerto Rico and Shortly after ticket sales began, he managed to sell them out.
The concert cycle will be held from November 30 to December 3, 2023 at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelotand as the artist said a few days ago: “This will be my greatest achievement, being with my people and with all those who will visit my beautiful Island for my retirement.”
To celebrate that he achieved the ‘sold out’ on all his dates in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Daddy Yankee posted a video on Instagram to thank his fans for wanting to accompany him to close his musical career.
“Thank you, thank you, Puerto Rico! All the dates there at the Choliseo left. I promise you the best closing ever. It’s good that I was born in Puerto Rico and I say goodbye to all my people”, said ‘The Boss’.
In the clip, the urban exponent thanked his fans for accompanying his career “for more than three decades”; In addition, he assured that one of the keys to his success has been the “great discipline” that he has maintained “from beginning to end.”
“I promise you the biggest closing of my career. They won’t sit down, you know already! See you at the finish line”, he wrote at the bottom of the video to accompany it.
In March 2022, Daddy Yankee issued the surprising statement of his retirement from the stage through all his social networks. At that time he stated that the closing of his tour “La última vuelta” would be in his land.
The concerts were originally scheduled for January 6, 7 and 8, 2023, but in November Pina Records were going to postpone them due to “logistical setbacks and careful production details.” However, in February the interpreter of ‘Gasolina’ reported that another reason for this temporary suspension was due to a “forceful fall” that he suffered and that led him to rehabilitation
