Yesterday the death of the first Mexican actor Andrés García at 81 years of age was confirmed. The news was released by his wife Margarita Portillo. So far the causes of his death are unknown, but it was known that he had been bedridden for months due to his deteriorating health.
As expected, friends, colleagues and relatives of the actor sent their last goodbye, some through live interviews and others using their social networks. The first to do so was Anahí, with whom he shared a great friendship. She was followed by celebrities such as Karely Ruíz, Lucía Méndez and José Ramón Fernández, to mention a few of her.
I can’t find the words… I thank God for giving me the gift of your love. I know you are in a better place now. I will love you and remember you all my life with all my heart. My beloved Andrew.
– Anahi

Dad, I love you very much. I send you a huge hug to heaven. Have a good trip. You left us many old teachings. Together in ‘Perfume de gardenia’, ‘Together but not scrambled’, theater and a great friendship ever since. Thank you!

My dear friend Andrés, today it was your turn to transcend. Those of us who continue on this beautiful path that is life will miss you and will remember you through all the artistic legacy you leave behind. Rest in peace. My condolences to your wife and children.

There are very few people that I will be able to remember and have in my soul like Andrés García. Andrés was for me a little angel on Earth. Since I did my ‘casting’ with him to do ‘The privilege of loving’ it was like a wonderful union, the kind that never happens.
– Sabine Moussier
I’m very sad. I wish you have a wonderful elevation. It is good that you are no longer suffering with such a tremendous disease that is cirrhosis of the liver. I think he purified himself with all these moments of suffering… The greatest legacy is that gallants like him will be very difficult to find again; he is a man who has all the qualities, there and to be, who has not died. He has left his work and everything he did we will be remembering as the great Andrés García.
– Lucia Mendez
With sadness I learn of the death of a good man; pleasant, friendly, always cheerful and a good friend, Andrés García. I had the pleasure of living with him on several occasions and I am grateful for the book that he gave me with great affection. Hugs to his family and friends. RIP Andres Garcia.
– Jose Ramon Fernandez
There is no doubt that Andrés García leaves a great void in the hearts of all those who knew him, but, at the same time, he leaves them with enormous memories and teachings that they will not find anywhere else.
