Possibly we have all gone through a stage (probably during adolescence) in which we believed that our family was the worst and that nobody understood us. Then we grew up and understood that all families go through rough patches and that as complicated as our relationship seemed, at least we weren’t part of the Spears clan.
To be honest, no one beats Britney Spears when it comes to dysfunctional families, because your dad becoming your legal guardian for 15 long years, taking advantage of your fame to force you to work, and still having the nerve to say that time was “incredible” is not from God.
As if that were not enough, get ready to do the courage of the day, Jamie Spears is collaborating with Kevin Federline (Britney’s ex-husband) to publish a book that deals with nothing more and nothing less than fatherhood. Can you imagine having the guts of these two men? We don’t know whether to be outraged or laugh.
The news is strange because Spears and Federline did not enjoy the best relationship. In fact, the problems between them were so serious that in 2019, the dancer imposed a restraining order against the singer’s father for allegedly mistreating her son, Sean Preston. The also rapper actually wanted the Spears patriarch to face criminal charges, but he only managed to keep him from being able to get close to his grandson for three years.
But now they have ironed out the rough edges and come together to star in this circus they call collaboration. The news comes after the husband of Lynne Spears finally spoke publicly of the legal guardianship of his daughter, which he shared with Kevin Federline and which ended in 2021.
My God, where would she be without that guardianship now? I’m not going to paint you pretty pictures. That guardianship was an amazing moment and without it, I don’t know if she would be alive now.
I love my daughter with all my heart and soul. The situation between us is just terrible. I don’t think she would have gotten the children back without guardianship.
We can only wait for the publication of the book to find out what kind of barbaric things the parents of the year have to say. We honestly think it could be a good comedy or a guide on steps to take to ruin your father-daughter relationship.
