Netflix It took very little time to announce the renewal of ‘Machos Alfa’ for a second season. It is seen that the new series from the creators of ‘La que se avecina’ has been successful enough for the platform to have decided that it was not worth waiting any longer to ensure its continuity.
Released on December 30, ‘Machos Alfa’ managed to sneak into Netflix’s Top 10 non-English-speaking series during its second week with 19.09 million hours played. Its success has been especially thunderous in Spainwhere it still holds at number 1 on the daily list published by the platform.
‘Machos Alfa’ tells the story of Santi (Gorka Otxoa), Luis (fele martinez), Peter (Fernando Gil) and Raul (Raul Badger), four friends who see how the patriarchal society is collapsing and are forced to adapt to the new social changes. Well, at least to try, it is not at all clear that they have succeeded…
Behind ‘Machos Alfa’ are Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor, Daniel Deorador and the knight brothers in what is his first series with such short episodes of the latter, since his hits such as ‘Aquí no hay quien viva’, ‘La que se avecina’ or ‘El pueblo’ easily exceed an hour per episode, while here they are around half an hour.
By the way, Netflix has had a rather curious way of announcing your renewal:
