We may have come across all kinds of miracle diets. However, the 5-day apple diet is one of the most efficient when it comes to losing weight in a short time. Most of us know about the benefits of apple, but have you ever tried the “apple diet”?
The apple is one of the most complete fruits and rich in fiber which provides our body with essential nutrients. However, this diet is a low-calorie plan in which we will eat apples with every meal, from lunch, breakfast to dinner. There is no doubt that it has become popular because it will help us feel fuller and will lead to weight loss. Still, research shows that it can be a dangerous diet.
less than 1000 calories
The apple diet works in a simple way, as it keeps the calorie intake around 1,000 to 1,200 calories a day. Legend has it that the fiber in the apple will bind to the fat molecules and by eating the apples and drinking the required amount of water, these fat molecules are removed from the body instead of being absorbed. However, it is not that simple. In the end, this diet works like any otherbecause calories are reduced, we exercise and drink a lot of water.
To start with the apple diet, we must buy around 2 to 3 dozen apples. Since we only have to eat this fruit, we must always carry apples with us. During this diet, we should eat only apples and liquids on the first day and for the next four days, we will eat mostly apples along with other foods that are nutritionally dense. During this diet, you have to stay around a total of 1200 calories a day.
Although exercises are the best way to stay fit, it is best to stick to only light exercises for the first two days of this diet plan. Once your body gets used to the lower calorie intake, the diet’s creators say you can slowly increase some exercises.
It is not healthy
Like other diets, this apple diet also has some drawbacks. The dehydration it may be the first disadvantage, as it requires us to commit to staying hydrated. Apart from that, this diet is mainly restricted in calories, so we can experience side effects like headaches, dizziness, and irritability. It is also possible to experiment gastric hyperacidity due to increased apple consumption.
Of course, some people can overeat after a 5 day apple diet and can experience a rebound quite quickly. So the effort and suffering will be in vain.
