During a chat with journalist Jane Pauley, Michel J. Fox thanked the producers and directors of the documentary for expressing such a realistic and honest way of approaching his life. In addition, he took the opportunity to express in a transparent way how he sees his future with this disease.
“Parkinson’s keeps knocking on the door of my life. I’m not going to lie, it’s getting more and more complicated. It’s getting more and more difficult. Every day is a bigger fight, but that’s the way it is,” Fox said.
Fox recalled that he received his Parkinson’s diagnosis when he was only 29 years old.
He commented that months ago, he underwent surgery to remove a benign tumor that was located in the spine, however, later he had problems walking, fell, which caused fractures in several bones.

“Parkinson’s is something you die with, not something you die from. I’ve been thinking a lot about the mortality of that…I’m not going to be 80. I don’t think I’ll make it to 80 (years of age),” he said during the interview. This 2023 Michael J. Fox will be 62 years old.
The actor maintains a positive thinking that has always characterized him during all these years, including a scathing sense of humor. He works as an activist with The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s research that he founded in 2000, these are some of the activities that motivate him to continue every day.
