Snyder was the one who chose Cavill to give life to the character created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, and the casting was done using the mythical Christopher Reeve suit, as SMASH informed you at the time.
As part of the celebrations for the 85th anniversary of Superman’s debut, Zack Snyder shared an unpublished photograph of Henry Cavill as The Last Son of Krypton on his Vero social network account.
Henry Cavill joined the ranks of DC Comics in 2013 by starring in Man of Steel, a film directed by Zack Snyder, which is the starting point of a DC Universe of connected films, which were followed by Batman v Superman and Justice League, among other.
Cavill knows that his career would not be the same without the support of Zack Snyder, to whom he dedicated words of thanks for giving him the opportunity to be the Last Son of Krypton.
“He’s a lovely man, and I’m extremely grateful for everything he’s done for me…those are formative memories of mine, career-wise. It is when everything changed. I remember them fondly… Zack if you’re looking… . thank you my friend”.
Cavill was last seen as the Man of Steel in Justice League (2017) and Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021), as well as in a cameo within Black Adam (2022).
