The actor and comedian Raúl Cimas was the guest on Monday night on ‘El hormiguero’. Cimas presented his latest series and recalled some amusing anecdotes, such as when his mother fell asleep while trying to make sure he was digesting.
“It’s like when you leave the window open”
Raúl Cimas came to ‘El hormiguero’ to present ‘little faith’, the new series that the actor stars with Esperanza Pedreño. It deals with the quarrels between a couple and their respective families, and opens on July 4 on Movistar Plus+.
Cimas summed up the series as “a bored couple” and as a result of this the theme of his childhood arose and, specifically, of Generational differences in relation to boredom:
I believe that the only generation that has been truly bored is ours. Our parents worked a lot and had their children. I would say to my father: “I’m bored”, and he would say: “How lucky you are”. And he was right. He didn’t have time to get bored.
Following this thread, the humorist also recalled a funny anecdote that made even Pablo Motos himself cry with laughterabout the noise his mother made when she fell asleep in the pool:
My mother made me digest by her side in the pool. But she ended up falling asleep: her voice faded, until only a noise was heard that was like when you leave the car window a little open. That’s when I took the opportunity to say: “Can I go play?”
