Xavier Dolan debuts in the series with ‘The night Logan woke up’. The director of films as interesting as ‘Mommy’ or ‘Laurence Anyways’ writes, directs and stars in this miniseries of five 60-minute episodes that arrives on June 27 at Filmin.
The first trailer already gives us a first glimpse that the series is going to move between romantic and family drama, two of the genres that Dolan has played the most in his filmography. Besides, the Soundtrack will be provided by Hans Zimmerregular composer for directors like Christopher Nolan.
Adaptation of the play ‘La nuit où Laurier Gaudreault s’est réveillé’, tells the story of Mimi, her brother Julien and their friend Logan, an inseparable trio that ends up breaking up due to a terrible accident. 30 years later, Mimi returns to her hometown and her reunion will bring up old wounds and outstanding scores.
Dolan leads the cast along with Julie LeBreton (‘Romance in Tokyo’), Patrick Hivon (‘The Wall’), Magalie Lépine-Blondeau (‘The imaginary loves’), Eric Bruneau (‘Laurence Anyways’), Julianne Côte (‘Le jeu’) and his fetish actress, Anne Dorval (‘Matthias & Maxime’).
