A little over an hour ago rosalia has confirmed that his third album Motomami will form part of the “new” Barça kit and the controversy is served. He FC Barcelona has noticed the popularity of the Catalan -you don’t have to be very enlightened to realize it- and has not hesitated to inflate the prices of his shirt at enormous levels. With figures that reach 2,000 euros, the fans have not hesitated to show their discontent with the club.
It will be the first male and female teams who will shine in the respective classics against Real Madrid the logo of the singer on the chest. As happened a few months ago with Drake, this initiative comes from Spotify. The club and the music platform reached an agreement last year for four seasons.
A limited edition t-shirt within the reach of very few
The announcement of the shirt has come with controversy, since the prices are abysmal, a detail that has infuriated the fans of the club and the singer herself. This limited edition is made up of a total of 1,899 t-shirts on sale for 399 euros. this design is dressed with the singer’s name on the back and the ‘Motomami’ logo on her chest.
However, the club has decided to go further and launch an even more exclusive version. A total of 22 unique jerseys, numbered from 1 to 11 in the men’s and women’s versions, with fluorescent numbers and the signatures of the starting eleven of the starting team in the Clásico (both men’s and women’s) will go on sale for 1,999 euros. In addition, the ‘Motomami’ logo glows in the dark and the set is presented in a premium ‘packaging’ (would be less…).
Marc Hazan, Vice President of Partnerships at Spotify, announced that “it is an honor to give up our space on the Barcelona jersey to celebrate Rosalía, the most listened to Spanish artist on Spotify in 2022. It is an opportunity to continue the celebration of our unique partnership with FC Barcelona and continue uniting the worlds of football and music”.
The singer herself has swept social networks by posing on a balcony in the city of Barcelona with her own shirt. The release of this shirt coincides with the first year of Motomami’s release.
