Free from COVID!… This is how Toño Mauri surprised on the morning of Friday, October 7, who we told you about a few days ago that he was infected with the virus againthe one that led him, in his first time, to put life-threatening and receive a double lung transplant.
“NEGATIVE!!! The scare passed!! Thank God for his immense mercy and for giving me the strength to go out!!! To my family and friends THANK YOU!!!“, wrote the Mexican actor, accompanying him with an image of the result of his PCR test with effectively the negative.
As we told you, the Toño Mauri confirmed that he had tested positive for COVID again… A day after the announcement, ‘Despierta América’ spoke exclusively with the actor, who gave details of his state of health and he confessed that when he received the news he was very afraid.
“At first I was very scared, I got scared, it scared me. Having COVID is to remember the whole stage of everything that happened in my lifeand the news is strong, but thank God, I feel much better, “Mauri told Univision’s morning show at the time.
There he also assured that the new test had not yet been done, because the doctors who had recommended that I wait a couple of days for the medications to that had been prescribed to take effect.
Effectively, two days after starting his treatment he received the news that he was now free of the virus.
Let us remember that more than two years ago, despite extreme care, Toño Mauri and part of his family tested positive for COVID-19. What seemed simple became complicated. For 5 months he was hospitalized fighting for his life… His wife and children could hardly have contact with him and only joined outside the hospital to pray.
His condition was so serious that his wife Carla warned those closest to him that he might not survive. But almost at the limit, Toño received the miracle of having a compatible donor on time, he underwent a double lung transplant, and a year later he is almost recovered, he gained some weight again and even started working.
But a new setback put him to the test, a double bacterium attacked his body, which was still in recovery. Thanks to all the care that he continued to have, he was able to get ahead, and holding on to the hope of someday being able to meet the family of his young donor.
