For the second time, the hearing to know the sentence of Paul Lyleso the actor will have to keep waiting to find out how long he will have to spend in prison after being convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of Juan Ricardo Hernándeza 63-year-old man of Cuban nationality who died in 2019 after being hit by the actor during a traffic incident in Miami, Florida.
After the Mexican actor’s legal defense requested a new trial, Judge Marisa Tinkler Mendez decided to postpone for the second time the hearing in which Lyle’s sentence would be announced.
According to the journalist Ana María Alvarado, the legal team of the protagonist of “Mirreyes vs Godínez” would be looking for a new trial because the jury that found him guilty would not have made the decision objectively because it was an issue that was under public opinion, in addition to having requested from the beginning that it be carried out outside of Florida.
For these reasons, It will be until next November 28 when the next hearing is held where it is expected that it will finally be made known the estimated time that Pablo Lyle could spend in jailwhich could reach a sentence of up to 15 years.
After the cancellation of the hearing on November 14, Silvia Lyle, the actor’s sister, spoke for the first time before the media to show their support for the family of the deceased man.
“Today I just want to tell you that this experience has been a very deep pain and is a great tragedy for the family of Mr. Hernándezwho have always been in our prayers and in the prayers of Pablo, my brother, and for our family,” he said before the cameras of the “Despierta América” program.
And he could not help crying when he mentioned how complicated this process has been for both the family of Juan Ricardo Hernández and all the people close to Pablo Lyle.
“This has impacted two families and all the people close to them and close to us, and today all I want to say is that… We feel, honor and deeply regret the pain of all and each one of those involved”, he pointed out.
