Netflix is not the only one canceling apparent hits and Disney+ has confirmed that there will be no season 2 of ‘The search: Beyond the story’, the spin-off of the famous Disney adventure franchise with films starring Nicolas Cage.
This series starred Lisette Olivera as the young heroine Jess, who is searching for answers about her family as she embarks on an expedition to discover the truth about the past and save a Pan-American treasure.
No Cage, No Party
The cancellation joins the string of cancellations that Disney+ has been carrying out in recent weeks with what is neither Marvel nor Star Wars. Including small hits (from other IPs) such as ‘El míster’, ‘Somos los mejores: una nueva era’ and even (although it remains to be seen if this is really the case) ‘Willow’.
The main cast of ‘The Search: Beyond History’ is made up of Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, Jake Austin Walker, and Lyndon Smith. This television version premiered last December with some success despite rather negative reviews. The first season has ten episodes and ended last February.
