Marvel’s stop-motion animation series ‘MODOK’ has been canceled after one season on Hulu, as reported by Variety. The series debuted in May 2021 with 10 episodes in which comedian Patton Oswalt got into the bobblehead of the main character MODOK, which stands for Mental Organism Designed Only To Kill.

On the plot of the series:
“MODOK has long pursued his dream of one day conquering the world. But after years of setbacks and failures battling Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, he has led his evil organization AIM into the ground. Cast out as leader of AIM, At the same time as he deals with his falling apart marriage and family life, he begins to experience a midlife crisis.”
Along with Oswalt, the voice cast included Melissa Fumero, Aimee Garcia, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ben Schwartz, Beck Bennett, Jon Daly, and Sam Richardson. Oswalt and Jordan Blum created the series and also served as executive producers.** Brett Cawley, Robert Maitia, Grant Gish, Joe Quesada, Karim Zreik and Jeph Loeb** also served as executive producers. Stoopid Buddy Stoodios provided the animation.
“MODOK” was originally one of four Marvel animated shows to be established on Hulu produced by Loeb’s now-defunct Marvel Television unit. The plan was to release all four and then have them cross paths in a series of events known as ‘The Offenders’. Both ‘Howard the Duck’ and ‘Tigra and Dazzler’ were scrapped. when Kevin Feige’s Marvel Studios took over television production on all Marvel projects.
