Lionsgate has revealed the first official image of the Keanu Reeves in John Wick 4
Nearly three years after he was last seen in John Wick, Keanu Reeves returns as the fan-favorite assassin in a new image from the fourth installment.
Plot details have yet to be revealed, though it is expected to continue from the events of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, in which Wick is left for dead after being shot by Winston to appease the High Table. The trequel ended with Wick teaming up with the Bowery King, who narrowly survived his encounter with the High Table assassins.
Keanu Reeves stars in the fourth installment once again alongside Laurence Fishburne as the Bowery King, Ian McShane as Winston, and Lance Reddick as Continental’s janitor Charon. The film will also mark the franchise debuts of Rina Sawayama, Donnie Yen, Shamier Anderson, Bill Skarsgård, Hiroyuki Sanada, Scott Adkins and Clancy Brown. Chad Stahelski is directing from a script by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, with franchise creator Derek Kolstad penning the script for the first time on the series.
The image presented by Lionsgate shows John Wick sitting solemnly in a holy place, and it seems that he is praying, perhaps asking for a little divine help for what lies ahead.

While the first image from John Wick 4 may not reveal much about the film’s plot, it is the first of Reeves’ return to the franchise after a three-year hiatus. Reeves was going to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back-to-back for Lionsgate, with plans for the first to hit theaters in 2021 and the second in 2022, however the COVID-19 pandemic changed everything, and production was still delayed. more when the star began filming the forgettable Matrix Resurrections.
With the first image of John Wick 4 now revealed, it will be interesting to see if Lionsgate takes advantage of this week’s San Diego Comic-Con to release the first trailer for the film. Since a trailer for the movie was already shown earlier this year at CinemaCon, in that scene Wick was seen using a wide variety of weapons, including nunchucks, it’s only fair to expect a sneak peek this weekend.
