There is only one week left until we can see the third season of ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+ and fans of the series have great news: Season 4 of the Star Wars series is already written.
This has been assured during the promotion of this third (fourth if we count ‘The Book of Boba Fett’?) installment of the adventures of Din Djarin himself Jon Favreau, CEO with Dave Filoni.
Writing in times of shared universes
In an interview with the French medium BFMTV, the scriptwriter explained that the idea is to plan everything well in advance. to be able to integrate it without many problems within the galaxy Star Wars serial and that fit seamlessly with projects like ‘Ahsoka’ or ‘Skeleton Crew’.
“Season 4? Yes, I have already written it. We have to know where we are going to tell a fully formed story. So we planned it, Dave. [Filoni] and me, and then you slowly write each episode. So I was writing it during post-production because all this should be noted as a continuation of a complete story.
And Dave is doing ‘Ahsoka,’ which I produce with him, but he’s the showrunner. So understand what is happening in other series like ‘Skeleton Crew’. They all happen at the same time, so there are a lot of things to take into account just like what we’ve been building on in previous seasons of ‘The Mandalorian’.”

This gives a pretty good idea of how shared universes like the expanded Star Wars are being built. Of course, without seeing this new season of ‘The Mandalorian’ yet, we don’t know exactly what implications and how it will influence the arc of other characters of the saga as Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka and her next series.
Of course, let’s hope that suddenly they don’t give us a cat for a poke and they don’t suddenly sneak in one of these camouflaged seasons like ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ because, as Favreau said a few days ago, they wanted to avoid a “cold reboot”.
