Chris Carter, creator of ‘The X Files’, has just announced the launch of a reboot of the legendary science fiction series starring David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. As if that data were not striking enough, Carter has also added that the person who is in charge of developing it is ryan cooglerdirector of ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’, my favorite Marvel movie to date.
The announcement has caught us all by surprise, since Carter has made it on the radio show On The Coast with Gloria Macarenko. Like who does not want the thing, Carter has commented the following in this regard:
I just spoke to a young man, Ryan Coogler, who’s going to remake ‘The X-Files’ with a diverse cast.
Unfortunately, Carter did not want to give more details about it., so we do not know if the idea is to recover a character from the original series or if an adaptation with a new approach will simply be chosen. What is clear is that there will be greater diversity in the new actors, something logical in these times.
The only additional point Carter made was to point out that Coogler “You have a lot of work ahead of you, because we already covered a lot of territory“. Furthermore, also It will be necessary to see how high-priority the project is for the director of ‘Creed: The Legend of Rocky’, as he is also scheduled to shoot the movie ‘Wrong Answer’, with Michael B Jordan in the title role, and the series ‘Scenes for Minors’.
Released in 1993, the first run of the ‘X-Files’ came to an end in 2002. And I say first because in 2008 a second film was made -the first was released in 1998- and already in 2016 it arrived with a late tenth season. Its success led to an eleventh installment in 2018 that seemed to be the final one.
