After confirming the death of the film and television heartthrob at 81 years of age, Margarita met with the press at her husband’s funeral in Acapulco, Mexico, where she revealed how the situation turned out with her late husband’s children.
The wife of the person who starred in the famous movie “Pedro Navajas” clarified that it was she who convinced Andrés to meet with his children, however, not all of them accepted and revealed the reasons.
After the media reported that Leonardo García is already in the port of Guerrero to attend his father’s funeral, Margarita Portillo indicated that she will not deny entry to the 50-year-old actor, who a few months ago blamed her for taking him away from his father.
However, doubts arose about the presence of Andrea and Andrés, who had supposedly announced that they could not attend, the first due to work commitments and the second due to a trip to Italy.
In the case of Andrés García Jr., the actor’s widow assured that he was lying, because since he contacted her so that she could go see her father, he told her that he did not want to, telling her “very ugly things”, which he preferred to omit.
“I will not say more. Not as much as offending me, but it offends him more with the things he told me, but he had no intention of coming to see his father. And when I say ugly things, (they were) referring to his father.”

While, with regard to the only daughter of the actor, Andrea García, she pointed out that it was Andrés García himself who did not want to see her, Well, when she was a few days away from passing away, she asked her if she wanted to talk to her and her answer was negative.
Portillo reported that he knew that the only daughter of the protagonist of “Deceived Women” wanted to contact her father, but he refused.
“I told him ‘Andrés, do you want to talk to Andrea?, and he said ‘No’, and I said ‘Why?’, in his weak voice he said ‘Why haven’t you come to see me in 10 years, and Now that I’m dying, do you want to see me?’”
