Although David Lynch is perhaps best known as a director, from time to time he also lavishes himself as an actor. We saw him as agent Gordon Cole in his ‘Twin Peaks’, as the friend of the protagonist of ‘Lucky’ and we will see him in the new Spielberg moviein which agreed to leave in exchange for two surprising conditions.
Not without my Cheetos
‘The Fabelmans’ is Steven Spielberg’s new film after ‘West Side Story’. It is a metacinematographic adventure with autobiographical overtones that will feature Michelle Williams, Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Gabriel LaBelle Y Julia Butters.
David Lynch will also be on the tape playing the legendary director John Ford. In a recent interview, Spielberg shared how he got the director of ‘Mulholland Drive’ to agree to play this role in the film.
While they were discussing options, Lynch’s name came up to fill the role. Initially, the filmmaker was not interested in acting in front of the cameras but, after many calls and the insistence of her good friend Laura DernHe finally said yes.
Of course, with two conditions: the first was have the wardrobe two weeks before shootingsince I wanted to wear it every day, and the second, that in his dressing room there would always be a bag of Cheetos. Obviously, they agreed to their conditions and everyone left happy (especially Lynch, who politely asked to take the remaining Cheetos in the bag to his house on the last day).
‘Los Fabelman’ is one of the most anticipated releases of next year and will hit Spanish theaters on February 10, 2023.
