The fourth season of Stranger Things has introduced some new characters and one of them has made a big impact on fans.
Attention SPOILERS. When Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer) Y Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke) they go to the asylum to talk to Victor Creelwe verified that its old version is interpreted by the legendary actor Robert Englund who will always be remembered for giving life to fred kruger. Now we know the inspiration they used for the tormented man who lost his entire family and was locked up on top of him for it, despite being innocent.
In a recent interview with THRthe actor Robert Englund revealed that he is a big fan of stranger things and that was about to appear in the third season: “I was a fan and then they offered me a part in the third season which I didn’t get, I was disappointed. I really wanted to be on the show.”
Luckily he had a new opportunity for the fourth season: “I sent in a little home audition tape that my wife shot. I saw him as a strangely likeable man, but also terrifying because he blinded himself and has these terrible scars. But he has this damaged story to tell.”
Robert Englund comments on the strange inspiration of his Stranger Things character: “As actors, we access strange images. Sometimes we use images that have nothing to do with what we are doing. And one of the things he was using was a character from Treasure Island named Billy Bones, who tells Jim Hawkins a great story about Long John Silver. He had nothing to do with Freddy Krueger or A Nightmare on Elm Street. It was just one of those weird images that come to you.”
“My only concern was that I knew they were spending a lot of money on this recreation, this flashback to the story I’m telling about the house the Creels lived in that was haunted. And I knew I would be getting cut off as I was telling parts that were very emotional. And I wanted that emotion to seep into the parts, so they used the dialogue that I played. It was not done in the publication. I didn’t want it to sound like I was post-producing a late-night jazz disc jockey with a deep voice.”
stranger things will premiere the second part of the fourth season on July 1 at Netflix.
