Alfred’s spy services have come to an end for now as the Pennyworth series was cancelled, so the third season is the conclusion of his story.
While the DC Universe continues to expand its horizons in a new stage, some series have announced that they will end their story in 2023, and Pennyworth, the program that follows the story of Alfred, before he becomes the butler of the Wayne family, joins this list.

While series like The Flash, Titans and Doom Patrol will see the end of their journey in their new seasons, another program joins the list of those that will conclude their broadcasts, as is the case with Pennyworth.
The Deadline site reports that HBO Max has made the decision not to renew the Pennyworth series for a fourth season, so the end of its third season will mark the end of the series.
This move comes amid changes that Peter Safran and James Gunn have begun to implement. Its goal is for the DC Universe to be connected in film, television, animation, and video games.
The series centers on Alfred Pennyworth (Jack Bannon) a former British SAS (Air Space Service) soldier. In 1960, after founding a security company in the English capital, he establishes communication for the first time with the billionaire Thomas Wayne (Ben Aldridge).
The cast is completed by Emma Paetz as Martha Kane, Ryan Fletcher and Hainsley Lloyd Bennett as Dave Boy and Bazza, allies of Pennyworth. Singer Paloma Faith and Polly Walker as Bet Sykes and her sister Peggy hers, and Jason Flemyng as Lord Harwood.
Bruno Heller and Danny Canon, who worked on the Gotham production team, serve as executive producers for Pennyworth, whose third season is available on the HBO Max platform.
