To be honest, drinking water doesn’t excite me. I do, but I get bored and I prefer to hydrate myself not only with water and using infusions, for example (one of the few healthy drinks according to Harvard) or with other types of drinks like the one we bring you today.
Although experts say that the best thing to do in the heat is to drink hot, we cannot resist the classic recipes for summer drinks, such as meringue milk or horchata, both typical of this time of year. But if we talk about classics we cannot leave out the homemade lemonade, an easy and delicious recipe that is perfect to combat the heat wave.
In this case, the recipe uses the Thermomix, because it will take less time, but this recipe is so simple that with a powerful blender like this one from Braun and a fine strainer, we can achieve the same result.
Ipow WJ-096 – Set of 3 stainless steel colanders with handle for food and vegetables. measures 7cm, 12cm, 18cm
Braun Hogar Minipimer 5237WH – Hand blender, 1000 W, 21 speeds and turbo, anti-splash, Powerbell Plus, 4 accessories (rods, food mill, 500 ml chopper, 600 ml measuring cup)
If we do it with Thermomix, we put the already chopped lemons in the glass together with the sugar or the sweetener that we choose, such as erythritol, and the water, crushing at turbo speed for 10 seconds. We place the basket inside the glass to use it as a strainer and pour it into a pitcher with lots of ice.
If it is with a blender, we put it in the mixing glass and do the same, straining afterwards with a fine strainer. Chef’s trick for extra flavour: we can add a few lemon slices and a few mint leaves in the jar with ice, and serve when well chilled.
And if you want another refreshing and healthy drink, try these fruit shakes that Directo al Paladar offers us, and which are perfect to drink at any time of the year, like the three recipes from smoothies of the video.
