Once again it is time to put yourself at the feet of Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau because what they have done in this episode (the Star Wars promotional machinery of how to launch things also has merit) of ‘The Mandalorian’ has been spectacular in what we see several of the pieces fit together with which we have been dealing for all these weeks.
By the way, from here spoilers for ‘The Spies’, episode 3×07 of ‘The Mandalorian’.

What to see if you like ‘The Mandalorian’: 3 fundamental westerns that have been the main inspiration for the successful ‘Star Wars’ series
The episode begins with Elia Kane (Katy M. O’Brian) reporting that the Mandalorians They are in the process of reunification. The recipient of this information is the great villain of the series: Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), concerned that this makes things very difficult for the restoration of the Empire.
The Empire Strikes Back
We’ll talk more in depth about this topic later, but all season 3 has been leaving us clues. quite evident that we are witnessing the return of the Empirewhich in the third trilogy would already be established as the “First Order”.
We start with the fortune of the doctor pershing In episode 3 and in the previous chapter we saw how the droid problems on the planet Plazir-15 were caused by a nostalgic for the Empire. But it has not been until this episode in which it has been shown that, indeed, “little things are coming” when we see Gideon attend a meeting of the Shadow Councilapparently refounded after its dissolution a few years earlier.

Return to Mandalore

After this first act, we return to Nevarro, where Din and Bo-Katan’s fleet returns reuniting the Mandalorian factions. Now comes the time to return to Mandalore. The return to the home planet is not without tension. First, because of the night owls that survived the purge, second, because the different factions may be united… but not in communion.
However, it is adversity, as often happens, that makes the quarrels dissipate. After defeating the giant monster on the planet’s surface, they will enter the mythical Great Forge, home… only to discover that it is an ambush and that it has been converted into an Imperial base. Gideon and his troop, worth the redundancyof improved dark troopers, (clad in beskar and with rockets) go into combat in a spectacular sequence that gives us everything.
The episode ends with a heroic death (in the hands of the Praetorian Guard) and a desolate panorama in which Gideon gives the order to attack with the Tie and all the artillery the Mandalorian newcomers, and the wounded who are in orbit. I’m nervous until next week.
