“The Flash”a studio blockbuster Warner Bros. and DCgrossed $55 million upon its US release, topping the list of highest-grossing films for the weekend of June 16-18.
Starring ezra miller, the film had a cost of more than $200 million dollars, so its results at the box office were low in terms of expectations, taking into account that it is one of the most important releases for the summer; in second place on the list debuted “Elementary”the new film of disney-pixarwhich earned $29.5 million.
Despite the fact that Miller has been a controversial figure in the last two years due to legal problems related to his personal life, experts comment that the popularity of “The Flash” could change in the coming weeks, running with the same fate of superhero films as “Ant-man” (from 2015) and Aquaman (from 2018). In the film directed by Andy Muschietti they also act michael keaton, michael shannon, Ben Affleck and Ron Livingston.
