New Friday, new billboard premieres! After the landing of Jordan Peele’s spectacular ‘Nop’ in our cinemas, Spanish theaters receive a brief but intense selection of feature films led by the return of one of the most successful animated characters in the national industry. Let’s review them all.
The premieres of August 26, 2022
‘Tadeo Jones 3. The Emerald Table’ (2022)
- As its title indicates, it is the third installment of the animated adventures of ‘Tadeo Jones’, which comes after the resounding commercial success of its two predecessors.
- ‘La tabla esmeralda’ once again has Enrique Gato as director. In addition to the first two ‘Tadeo Jones’, he is responsible for the also animated ‘Capture the flag’
- On this occasion, the adventure revolves around a spell unleashed after breaking a sarcophagus that could endanger the lives of Mummy, Jeff and Belzoni.
- The film will take place on an international scale, set in cities around the world.
- Its cast includes the voices of Óscar Barberán, Luis Posada, and Michelle Jenner, among others.
‘Despues de. Infinite love’ (‘After Ever Happy’, 2022)
- It is the fourth film in the ‘After’ saga, which debuted in 2019 with ‘Everything starts here’.
- It is the second of them directed by Castille Landon, who was already in charge of ‘Lost Souls’.
- It is based on the series of novels by Anna Todd, and proposes a new episode of the adventures and love misadventures of Tessa and Hardin.
- It stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin.
‘Ali and Ava’ (2021)
- ‘Ali and Ava’ arrives in our cinemas after passing through the Official Section of the Seville Festival, after garnering a BAFTA nomination for best British film and after winning the awards for best actor and best music at the British Independent Movie Awards.
- It is the new film by Clio Barnard, who this year has left us the fantastic miniseries ‘The Essex Serpent’ on Apple TV+.
- The cast of the film has names like Adeel Akhtar, Claire Rushbrook, Ellora Torchia or Shaun Thomas.
- Its story combines a strong social aspect with music as the central axis of the relationship between its protagonists.
